Meditation

Meditation is part of yoga.It is recommended to do meditation after yoga and pranayama.Because body,breath and mind are linked together . Meditation keep your mind calm and peaceful .It increases the memory power and increases concentration.

There are thousands of articles about meditation techniques,available on net. but i found that the following is the most effective and convenient method because i am practicing yoga,pranayama and meditation from last 15 years.Meditation

Technique

  1. Sit in Padmasana(cross-legged sitting) or Vajrasana posture. If you are not comfortable to sit in that posture choose any comfortable posture or sit on a chair.The hands are placed loosely, palms up, one on top of the other, and with the thumbs lightly touching.Your head should be upright, but not rigid. The eyes should be closed.
  2. Take deep breath 3 to 5 times or it you already completed pranayama steps the you can proceed to next step.
  3. Now just breathe naturally and concentrate on you breath.
